Berlin, Germany (February 14, 2003) – Că-Botics Fiber Systems has completed the purchase of the Worldwide Rights of the STAR™ (Sewer Telecommunications Access by Robot) technology from Robotics Cabling GmbH owned by RWE, Vivendi and the City of Berlin. Up until this time, Că-Botics Fiber Systems has held the North American rights to the technology. It has now has the ability to make STAR™ available Internationally to its customers. STAR™ runs cable through the existing underground sewers, permitting the placement of fiber cable up to eight to ten times faster and at one third to two thirds the cost of traditional excavation methods.
