ROBOT USING THE STAR™ PROCESS Innovative robot to build city's broadband network DUBLIN, OHIO (September 25, 2001) - The City of Dublin, Că-Botics Fiber Systems, and Lucent Technologies OFS will introduce STAR™ (Sewer Telecommunications Access by Robot) to the City of Dublin's sewer system. STAR will navigate through municipal sewers to install fiber optic cables to extend Dublin's high-speed Internet infrastructure. As a result, Dublin will be able to avoid the usual inconveniences that are encountered from digging up the streets for telecommunication builds.
